My Hero is
Anna Charles

It’s hard to believe that Anna Charles has been gone for five years. She was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) on April 15, 2018 and passed away on September 16, 2018, due to complications with her treatment. Not a day goes by that we don’t think about her or thank God for her. She came into this world like a rocket and left like a rock star. She left our family better than how she had found it. AC loved her family, friends, nurses, doctors, music, toys – she loved everything about life. Neither cancer nor a wheelchair could crush her lively spirit. They were no match for her love or the love of her family and friends. Her light always shined the brightest, and without a doubt, it continues to shine today.

Love isn’t a feeling of gratitude. It’s an act of kindness that makes the lives of others better. Let love win by getting involved in the fight against childhood cancer. Every dollar raised helps to save the lives of our sick children and those to come. Cancer doesn’t rest or sleep and neither can we! Please support CURE in the fight against Childhood Cancer.

“We need more people to get involved. Just because we don’t look or pay attention doesn’t mean that it’s not happening. Even if we can’t cure these kids, we can still love and support them. The childhood cancer world is lonely.”
