We understand the trauma that comes with a diagnosis of childhood cancer. Through our Early Outreach Program, we aim to connect with families at or near diagnosis to let them know they are not alone and to connect them with important resources. CURE Totes are given to families at diagnosis, providing useful items including a tip booklet written by parents of children who have fought cancer. As part of our Early Outreach Program, we also spend quality time with families during weekly visits to the outpatient clinics and inpatient units of hospitals. If your child was recently diagnosed and you have not connected with CURE, please let us know.
“I have been using the binder from the CURE tote received at Scottish Rite after my son was diagnosed with leukemia. It has been extremely useful to help me get organized during such a chaotic time.”
