Build for CURE began in 2024 with the first Build for CURE home built by Lawrence Alexander Homes in Rincon, Georgia. Founder and President Alex Long dreamed of using his craft to help children fighting cancer. His goal was to build a quality home and donate every dollar generated from its sale to CURE. With this in mind, he began securing suppliers and tradesmen to work with him by donating materials and labor. The first home’s scheduled completion date is March 2025.
Breaking Ground on Hope
On June 19, 2024, Lawrence Alexander Homes hosted the groundbreaking of the Pinebrooke Build for CURE home in Rincon, Georgia. More than seventy people attended, including many of the suppliers and tradesmen who will be involved in the home’s construction and have generously donated supplies and labor to the effort. Two special guests, leukemia fighter Myles and his brother Bryce, took a turn with the shovels at the ceremony.
When completed, proceeds from the sale of this Build for CURE home will fund groundbreaking research that will lead to better outcomes for children with cancer. Click HERE to watch media coverage from the event.
