Bereavement

Every year CURE hosts events to support our bereaved parents.

In Atlanta, our Weekend of Hope and Healing is a time geared towards families who have lost a child to pediatric cancer within the last three years. Together we celebrate the lives of children who are no longer with us while providing support, comfort, guest speakers, and breakout sessions to assist parents in their grieving process.

For families who lost their child more than three years ago, Legacy of Love is a special day that was created for you. This is an afternoon for bereaved parents to gather for a delicious meal, a beautiful candle-lighting ceremony, and a guest speaker in a more relaxed environment.

We also host quarterly fellowship evenings for fathers who have lost a child to cancer.

In Savannah, we host a Hope and Healing Workshop for bereaved families in South Georgia. We also facilitate quarterly Healing Hearts groups where moms and dads can get in a casual way to support each other.

“Please know how much I recognize and am thankful for the important mission of CURE. While providing ongoing support for families in the battle with cancer as well as fundraising for research, you haven’t forgotten the bereaved parents nor each and every precious child whose lives have been cut short by this monstrous disease.”
