This Opportunity (Job Description)

We are seeking an enthusiastic Digital and Multimedia Communications Specialist to join our growing team. This role blends digital design, social content creation, and multimedia storytelling to support CURE’s mission across web, social media, video, and event channels. This role operates in an exceptionally fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The ideal candidate thrives under pressure, moves quickly without sacrificing accuracy, and consistently produces high-quality work. Resourcefulness, efficiency, and the ability to prioritize in real time are essential.

The position reports directly to the Director of Brand & Communications. The role also partners closely with the Director of Digital Marketing & Content and the Senior Creative Manager to execute digital campaigns, social storytelling, and multimedia content.

You will play a key role in elevating CURE’s voice and presence across platforms—helping to educate, inspire, and move supporters to action.

Your Impact (Responsibilities)

Digital & Multimedia Creation

  • Conceptualize and produce high-quality digital visuals, including social graphics, email assets, website images, infographics, and campaign materials.
  • Create and produce short-form videos and social-first multimedia assets.
  • Adapt campaign creative across different formats and platforms while maintaining consistency and meeting channel best practices.
  • Support storytelling through filming, editing, and preparing clips for social and web use.
  • Maintain clear communication with the Senior Creative Manager and project stakeholders to manage timelines and ensure brand consistency.
  • Participate in creative meetings, brainstorms, photo/video shoots, and planning sessions across the brand, digital, and creative teams.
  • Manage multiple projects with careful attention to deadlines, accuracy, and quality.
  • Support cross-functional collaboration, partnering with marketing team members and other teams across the organization.

Social Media Content & Event Coverage

  • Partner with the Director of Brand & Communications on social storytelling, including capturing content to illustrate our mission and during events (photos, videos, behind-the-scenes moments).
  • Assist with light social strategy input, helping shape creative approaches and concepts.
  • Edit, format, and prepare social assets for timely posting during campaigns and events.

Digital Marketing Support

  • Collaborate with the Director of Digital Marketing & Content to design digital ads, email graphics, and website visuals that meet campaign goals.
  • Ensure assets are optimized for platform requirements and follow digital marketing best practices.
  • Comprehend how digital content supports donor/user engagement and conversions.

Design

  • Design simple print materials as needed to support the team.
  • Work closely with the Senior Creative Manager to ensure all creative assets reflect CURE’s brand aesthetic, visual identity, and quality standards.

What You’ll Bring (Skills & Qualifications)

Required

  • 4+ years of professional experience in digital design or multimedia content creation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, multimedia, visual communication, or related field.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing digital, social, video, and design work.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects) and Canva.
  • Proficiency in email marketing and social media scheduling platforms.
  • Demonstrated expertise creating digital for websites and social-first content for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  • Experience using lighting and audio equipment to properly frame a scene and capture polished visual and sound quality.
  • Strong understanding of layout, typography, color theory, and visual storytelling.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize deadlines, and maintain exceptional attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and resourceful, with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, time management skills, and the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Preferred

  • Experience with Asana and HubSpot.
  • Experience in nonprofit or mission-driven environments.

Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $55,000-$65,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
