CURE Childhood Cancer stands beside them, funding lifesaving research and providing essential support that helps families focus on what matters most, their child’s health.
Through Build for CURE, your expertise and strong network become a powerful force in this mission. By managing the construction of one special home, you’ll generate critical funding that drives breakthrough research and supports families through their darkest hours.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How does the trade partner recruitment process work?
You have great relationships with your partners, but we’re here to help you. We’ll work with you to plan a groundbreaking. If it’s helpful in securing commitments, you can invite your trade partners, and they can sign up at the event. We’ll provide an email invite for you, and CURE representatives will be there to share about CURE, the program, and its impact.
Do I need to secure 100% donated materials and labor for the home?
No. While the goal may be to secure as many donations as possible, securing partial donations still makes an impact. The more donations you can get from your partners, the greater the gift to CURE, and the more impact for the kids. Donations are fully tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
What if my trade partners can only donate part of their services?
Partial donations are welcome and common. For example, a plumber might donate labor but not materials or vice versa. But you can coordinate with multiple partners. One might donate materials, while another donates labor. The goal is to make it workable for everyone.
What kind of recognition do trade partners receive?
Trade partners receive multiple forms of recognition, including at events and in marketing materials, and potential media exposure during the groundbreaking and ribbon cutting.
How will the program affect my build timeline?
CURE is here to support you in a successful build and won’t get in your way. But based on past builds, it’s good to plan additional time. Donated services typically need flexibility in timing. Past builds show it might add 2-3 weeks to a standard build timeline.
Should I build a more premium home than usual?
No. It’s best to build the home based on the neighborhood’s standards, not upgraded or premium features.
How do I handle warranties and liability for donated work?
As the builder, you’ll still need to provide standard warranties required by law.

“Taking on a Build for CURE project was one of the best decisions we’ve made as a company. Not only did it energize our team and strengthen our vendor relationships, but seeing the direct impact on families fighting childhood cancer brought meaning to our work in a whole new way. The program structure made it easy to participate while maximizing our contribution to CURE’s mission. I’d do it again in a heartbeat. We plan to be an ongoing, regular Build for CURE partner.”
