Britt is originally from Dothan, AL, and moved to Savannah in 2010 with her husband, Brad, a neonatologist, and their two daughters. She studied Child Development and Psychology at Vanderbilt University, which led to a career as a Child Life Specialist. As a CLS, Britt worked with multiple pediatric populations, but pediatric oncology was always a favorite, and she loved working hands-on with the children and their families in inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as with numerous groups outside of the hospital created to raise awareness and funds for those families. Britt feels called to service and volunteerism, and that calling has led her to work with various nonprofit organizations locally and nationally. Those things, along with having several family friends personally touched by childhood cancer, have made CURE a natural fit. Britt is honored to have the opportunity to continue to give back to the community and bring more awareness through her involvement with CURE.
