After completing an internship with the organization during her final semester of college, Allena joined CURE in 2021 as a Patient & Family Services Assistant in Savannah. She graduated in 2020 from Georgia Southern University with a degree in Child and Family Development.
“I began volunteering with CURE after attending a grief luncheon in Savannah as a result of losing my 14-year-old sister, Alivea, who passed away only four hours after being diagnosed with anaplastic large-cell lymphoma in June of 2018. It is an honor to join the CURE team and to help make a difference in the world of childhood cancer.”
