“My involvement with CURE was met with several personal connections. In 2020, my daughter and I decided we wanted to help children with cancer, knowing we are incredibly fortunate not to have experienced this horrible disease. A friend of mine from high school works for CURE and I had some knowledge of what CURE was about. My daughter and I began making snack bags and boredom buster bags. My friend then shared with me the mission of CURE, and I was hooked. Through other connections, I came to find out I knew two people on the CURE board. When they shared their experience, I became even more interested. My friend on the board asked me to attend a CURE luncheon, where I listened to Kristin Connor and Jenn Hobby speak. Learning the statistics of childhood cancer and how underfunded it is, I wanted to do something. Once I heard firsthand how CURE is not only supporting families but also providing funds for research, I knew this was an amazing organization.  My husband works for Jersey Mike’s Subs, and they designate a charity for their day of giving. I told him that they should investigate CURE. Jeff met with Kristin and was impressed with the organization’s fortitude and determination to assist families as well as aid in funding research for childhood cancer. Jersey Mike’s has donated almost $1,000,000 to CURE.

I am beyond honored to have been asked to be on the board. I am looking forward to doing whatever I can to support CURE and create more of an impact in the world of childhood cancer.”
