“I was introduced to CURE when my son, Jake, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia at two years old. CURE was along for the journey every step of the way – from receiving a tote bag full of comfort items at diagnosis, enjoying a hot meal, and connecting with CURE volunteers every Thursday night when we were in-patient to seeing a familiar face at the clinic for weekly visits. CURE provided steady and consistent support for us during the fight. Jake is doing well and is a survivor. But there are many who don’t have the same outcome. I am honored to join the Board because we have the opportunity in Jake’s lifetime to make a significant impact on research, awareness, and seeking a true CURE for childhood cancer.”
