“I am truly embarrassed at how little I knew about childhood cancer and how prevalent and devastating it is in the lives of so many children and their families until I received the crushing news that my daughter, Peyton, was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia at the age of 15. We spent the better part of the next 18 months in the children’s hospital as she battled and ultimately defeated a 0% prognosis. So many people helped us during our journey, and CURE is no exception. They brightened many days with meals at the hospital or even hugs when we needed them, and I have no doubt that the funds they’ve raised over the years played a part in the trial treatments that saved my child’s life. Since the day we heard “cancer free”, our entire family has committed to utilizing whatever platform we have to help raise awareness and money to ensure that other families don’t have to endure this. I’m thrilled to be working with CURE in doing so.”
