Chelsea joined CURE in 2023 as a Coordinator, Patient and Family Services after nearly ten years as a Certified Child Life Specialist at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. She served a large part of her time as the Outpatient Oncology Child Life Specialist. Chelsea truly cherished her time being able to companion with patients and families while providing patient-centered, psychosocial care throughout treatment. Her passion for the childhood cancer community led her to shave her head in 2016 by one of her beloved patients to raise money for childhood cancer research.
In her role at CURE, Chelsea manages the counseling program, connecting families with community-based therapists to help address the unique psychosocial needs of families affected by childhood cancer.
