The magic of Homecoming happens when people come together, united by undeniable truths: children with cancer need us, and we must act. Last Saturday, we gathered for a night of fun, football, food, and live music. But we also gathered to hear the story of 10-year-old Alaina. We watched as she danced to the music, and then we heard her story and learned that dancing was something she couldn’t do a year ago. She showed us strength, courage, and the power to overcome. Her spirit challenged everyone in the room to give so that every child facing cancer has a cure.
Alaina represents so many other children. Her story shows us why this work cannot wait, why every gift matters, and why we must believe in a future without childhood cancer.
You answered with great generosity. Through bidding, raffle tickets, and hanging your football on the goalpost, you contributed a tremendous $107,000 to fuel critical research and support for children fighting cancer. To our steadfast CURE family who show up event after event, your unwavering commitment inspires us and drives this work forward. And to our many first-time guests, thank you for joining this vital mission. Your presence and generosity bring new strength to the fight.
We are so grateful to all of you for being part of this powerful night. Together, we’re not just hoping for change – we’re making it happen.
