During Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, author Elizabeth Lowman is launching The Girl with the Golden Ribbon, a children’s picture book inspired by her daughter Austen’s childhood cancer journey and the family, friends, nurses, doctors, and community who helped carry hope alongside their family.
Throughout September, a portion of the proceeds from every copy of The Girl with the Golden Ribbon sold will be donated to CURE Childhood Cancer to support childhood cancer research and families facing a diagnosis. The month-long “Carry Hope With Us” campaign will include book sales, social media outreach, community partnerships, media appearances, and local events, including a September 19 storytime and book signing at The Reading Attic.
