The children’s book: “Lake the Great: A story of courage + bravery even if you get really sick.” The book is part of the “Coming of Age in Preschool + Kindergarten” series. It is the true story of Lake Bozman Thompson and his story of childhood cancer from his initial diagnosis through his first remission. It includes a resource page, which lists CURE, and Anna, Lake’s Mom, made authentic contributions to the story. She provided photos that I used in my illustrations in the book. She also gives the Backstory on the last page, with the message that Lake passed just weeks before his 9th birthday.
