Nick joined CURE in March 2024 as Senior Coordinator, Patient and Family Services. In 2020, Nick found out he had an anaplastic astrocytoma, a brain tumor that required two surgeries followed by cancer treatment. Since finishing the chemo maintenance phase in July 2021, Nick has been cancer-free. He is now in a natural history study of brain tumors at the National Institutes of Health.
Throughout his cancer journey, Nick discovered a passion for helping people who were going through similar hardships. Most of his treatment was at WellStar, and he had the privilege to work with them on a process improvement team. At CURE, Nick is assisting with Family Emergency Funds.
You can find Nick watching Braves games all summer long, spending time at Disney World, and serving high school students at his church.
