Katie Rutherford joined the CURE team in 2026 as the Senior Development Coordinator on the Events and Initiatives team. In her role, she helps manage volunteers and silent auctions for CURE’s fundraising events and assists with third-party events benefiting the organization.
Prior to joining the CURE family, she worked for the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Foundation for three years. In this role, she had the privilege of leading events benefiting the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center, serving as the marketing liaison, and traveling across the country to solicit Aflac markets.
CURE has a very special place in Katie’s heart, as she herself is a cancer survivor who benefited from the incredible services that CURE offers. She is beyond thrilled and thankful to work for an organization that continues to go above and beyond for childhood cancer patients in Georgia and nationwide.
