“Our family’s introduction to childhood cancer began in 2005 when our daughter Avery was diagnosed with high-risk ALL at age 11. Throughout her treatment, CURE stood beside us and worked quietly behind the scenes to support our family. We remain deeply grateful to the community that surrounded Avery throughout her journey. Joining the CURE Board is a meaningful way to give back to a community that will always hold a special place in our hearts. I look forward to contributing to the important work ahead — supporting families, advancing research, and strengthening the mission that carried us through our own experience. The opportunity to help shape CURE’s impact is both inspiring and humbling. Serving in this capacity is a great responsibility, and one I do not take lightly. It is an honor to participate in the continued growth of such an accomplished organization and to help ensure that every family facing childhood cancer feels the same support that meant so much to ours.”
