Coach Petros Kyprianou, UGA Track & Field

It arrives with great anticipation that Georgia head track and field coach Petros Kyprianou & the Bulldog track and field program announce Kyprianou’s plans to “Ride for a CURE.” Aboard his Indian motorcycle, Kyprianou will depart Athens in mid-June for a two-week ride from Chicago, Ill., to Santa Monica, Ca., on Route 66, otherwise known as the Mother Road.

Dusan Mitosevic

Kyprianou’s journey will be a fundraiser for CURE Childhood Cancer and the prevention and research of childhood cancer.  Deeply affected by losing his father-in-law, Dusan Mitosevic, and mentor to cancer in 2018, Kyprianou is determined to help eradicate this debilitating and fatal disease for kids and adults in the future.

Guiding the Georgia women to the 2018 NCAA indoor team championship and the Bulldog men to the 2018 national outdoor team title, Kyprianou now has his sights on getting Bulldog fans and the general public involved with his effort to beat cancer.

Dollars Raised

$100,000 Goal

Kyprianou has committed to giving $25,000 to “Ride for a CURE.” Now, it’s time for YOU to do your part in giving what you can to join the team. No amount is too small and matching – or even surpassing – Kyprianou’s donation will be sure to put a smile on all Bulldogs’ faces!
