The dinner allowed more than 30 individual hostesses to decorate their tables in the theme of their choice and invite eleven of their friends to enjoy a night of fun, prizes, entertainment, and speakers, all while raising money for a CURE. More than 450 guests attended and the hostesses transformed the venue with their beautiful tables, with a wide variety of themes ranging from Shabby Chic to Cookies for a CURE to a Mexican Fiesta and Mardi Gras.
The dinner also welcomed a “Mom’s Table” for local moms of children battling cancer. The moms’ tickets were sponsored and they were welcomed with a tote filled with goodies in their seat.
The Effingham County community provided amazing support for this raising more than $29,700 – double last year’s total! The Catie Wilkin’s Memorial Fund committee is very grateful for the support of their community, sponsors, and raffle donors. They are hoping to expand next year and hold two Sisters on a Journey dinners, one in Effingham County, and one in Savannah. They are already planning to make next year’s event even bigger and better!
Thank you to everybody who was involved in making this event a wonderful success!
