Zunzifest! Savannah

Zunzi’s, the fast casual restaurant known for its South African-inspired sandwiches, bowls and salads, announces the return of Zunzifest! on Sunday, Sept. 26. During this one-of-a-kind event, guests can reserve a time slot to show up at Zunzi’s new location at 236 Drayton Street to receive a free regular Conquistador or Rising Sun sandwich (vegan upon request) from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. In support of National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in September, Zunzi’s is donating 26% of sales to CURE Childhood Cancer.

And for the first time, Zunzibar, located in the same building as Zunzi’s, is getting in on the action. Zunzi’s new beach bar-themed sister concept will be open all day with 26% of proceeds also benefiting CURE Childhood Cancer. From 5-9 p.m., Zunzibar will host a low country boil for Zunzi’s team members on the spacious patio, and the public is invited to attend and purchase plates.

Zunzifest! falls on the 26th day of each month, in honor of Z, the 26th letter of the alphabet.

On the morning of Sept. 26, guests can secure their spot for Zunzifest! by reserving a time slot on the Zunzifest! tab on Zunzi’s website. (Members of Zunzi’s text community will receive a code that morning that they can click on to reserve a slot.) To join Zunzi’s text community and receive a link, text “Zunzifest!” to 912-207-7551.

To ensure social distancing, Zunzi’s is allocating 20 slots every 15 minutes from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Guests will present their time slot receipt when ordering a free regular sandwich in person at the restaurant for takeout (no delivery or catering). Zunzi’s is only serving the Conquistador and Rising Sun (vegan option) during Zunzifest!—the full menu will not be available.
