Mycah was diagnosed on 12/24/18 with a juvenile pilocytic astrocytoma. After 7.5 hours in surgery they were able to remove 98% of a tangerine sized tumor from her brainstem. After 25 days in the hospital/rehab setting, Mycah walked out of there like a superhero. We had several follow up scans through the course of 1.5 years and found that it started to regrow requiring chemo. Mycah is still on current treatment and we are hoping with the next scan she can stop chemo.
