“Shortly after moving to Atlanta, I received the phone call I will never forget. “Nick, your son has cancer.” At 4 years of age, my son, Ben, was diagnosed with retinoblastoma. The next few weeks and months were the worst of my life, but I am lucky to say that Ben is now cancer-free and fortunately, my family is stronger because of the experience. I was introduced to CURE and Kristin Connor soon after through a co-worker, Lisa Heskett. My wife and I began participating in many of the CURE events and simply knew it was the type of organization that we needed to support. The passion this organization shows by not only supporting families going through the fight of their lives, but also striving to find a cure in our lifetime is so inspiring and something I’m extremely proud to be a part of.”
