What Bo Might Say this Father’s Day
First of all, Happy Father’s Day. Sorry I can’t be there. I know you understand, though. I’ve been watching over you guys. I think you’ve noticed. I do little things here and there to let you know it’s me. I see you smile when I do.
I’ve heard you talking to my baby sister about me. Could you not use that voice? Please… it’s super annoying. Oh! And thank you for mentioning me as much as you do to other people. I know you don’t have to. That’s why it means so much.
The reason I’m writing is to let you know you did a great job as a dad while I was down there. I know you doubted it, but don’t. You couldn’t help that I got cancer. It’s just one of those things. I’m serious. Don’t think that you could have done more. You did more than most! And I love you for that.
Dad, it’s been six years since I left. I still remember you telling me it was alright to leave. You knew I was needed more here in heaven. But, I know it was hard to let me go. Just know that I am happy! I don’t hurt like I did there. And, I can’t wait for you to hear me talk! I’m sure you’ll get tired of it! LOL!
So, there it is. When you get here, I’ll catch you up on everything. It is a blast here. And, we never get sick! That’s really awesome! I’m proud that you’re my daddy. You’ve worked hard to achieve a lot the last few years. And, I know my baby sister is in good hands. (Even though I know she’ll be spoiled like I was. LOL) I hope you have a great day! It’s Father’s Day, which means, it’s your day! Tell Grandpa and Mepaw I said Happy Father’s Day, too! I miss you. We’ll talk soon. Just watch for those little signs and you’ll know I’m there. I’ll write again when I get a chance. I love you Daddy!
P.S. The fish here are HUGE! I’ve got the perfect spot to take you when you get here.
“I imagined that if I could receive a Father’s day letter, this is what it would say.”
