In addition to these signature events, numerous individuals, groups and organizations from our community selflessly host events in which CURE is the beneficiary. Recognized as one of Atlanta’s premier social and philanthropic events, the Believe Ball sells out quickly. The 2016 Believe Ball was hosted by Chris & Tom Glavine and Sylvia & Pat Tylka. Honoring multiple Grammy Award nominee Jeff Foxworthy, the 2016 event raised over $1 million that magical night!
Lauren’s Run, our annual 5K/2K run/walk is held in memory of Lauren Zagoria and Lauren Kochman, both of whom lost their battles with cancer. Thousands of people participate each year, making it a special run like no other. Immediately afterwards, participants and CURE families enjoy the CURE Annual Picnic, filled with games, prizes, crafts, food, music and fun!
Created and hosted by Chris Glavine, wife of MLB Hall of Fame Pitcher, Tom Glavine, this unique and inspiring luncheon event honors mothers of children with cancer, whose love and tireless dedication guides their families through an unimaginable journey. Over the past decade, this event has raised more than $3.2 million for CURE Childhood Cancer.
Each day in September, Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, CURE shares the unique stories of children who have been diagnosed with cancer. At the same time, these brave families fight back, setting a goal to raise $1000 to support life-saving pediatric cancer research.
Throughout the year, countless individuals, organizations and companies host fundraising events for CURE. The success of these events relies on support from our generous community. Check out the full calendar of events to learn more about, and plan to attend, these events.
