Caps for CURE

One of our own CURE’s Kids, Sarah Barr, and her mother Heather Barr have coordinated a wonderful event to raise money for CURE Childhood Cancer: Caps for CURE!

Heather and Sarah contacted area schools and encouraged them to get on board. As part of the event, students at each participating school are allowed to wear their favorite cap for the day, with a donation of $1.00 to CURE. Not only do students love the novelty of wearing a cap to school, but the event is also symbolic of the hats, caps, and bandannas that cancer patients wear during their journey. Here is a list of the schools that have generously agreed to participate in the fundraiser:

East Lake Elementary School  – McDonough, GA Fairview Elementary School – Stockbridge, GA Hickory Flat Elementary School  – McDonough, GA New Hope Elementary School  – Locust Grove, GA Pate’s Creek Elementary School  – Stockbridge, GA Rock Springs Elementary School  – McDonough, GA Tussahaw Elementary School  – McDonough, GA Unity Grove Elementary School – Locust Grove, GA Walnut Creek Elementary School  – McDonough, GA Honey Creek Elementary School  – Conyers, GA The Sharon School – McDonough, GA Heritage Baptist Christian School – Locust Grove, GA

Thank you to the Barr’s for organization and to all of the schools for participating in the event and supporting CURE Childhood Cancer! If your school is interested in participating too, contact kate@curechildhoodcancer.org and we’ll add you to our list!
